Astronomy Web Sites Worth Seeing

The Universe Today

This is a very nice, easy to read site with up-to-the-minute news on everything "Spacey"!  Find it HERE

Martian Rovers   Martian Landscape

Here you can see the latest photographs taken by the robot rovers on the surface of Mars.  Fascinating stuff.   It looks a lot like Havasu! However, after a couple of years, these rovers (designed to last 90 days) are beginning to reach the end of their usuable life.

Google Mars

Now you can poke about Mars just like you do on Google Earth.  It has elevation information - Mars has mountains that make Everest look like a foot hill, and canyon that completely dwarf the Grand Canyon.  Cool.

Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter

I can't say enough about the graphics on this site.  The orbiter is so detailed that you can see the Mars Rovers and their tracks!  And those rovers are not much bigger than a breadbox.  Talk about awesome images.

Cassini-Huygens Mission to Saturn   Saturn

The ongoing mission to Saturn has produced some astounding pictures and incredible discoveries.  There are literally new discoveries every day.  You need to see this site.

NASA's Astronomy Picture of the Day

OK.  I'm back on the astronomy bandwagon.  But really, these are the most interesting photos you can find!  (Well, short of Jeri Ryan as Seven-of-Nine on Star Trek: Voyager)

Space.com

This is a great site for space information.  Charts, news stories, basic information.   Check this one out.

MY OWN ASTROPHOTOS
Remember now, I am a relative newbie when it comes to Astrophotography.  But here are some of my presentable images.
